29 years old, virile and powerful, tattooed, Jawel is the archetypal Arab, discovered by Citebeur. He embraces his career as a gay porn actor and opens up without any taboos for ArabGay.Porn
AG: When did you start in gay porn?
Jawel: It was in 2009 for Citebeur, with whom I am still working. For the future we will see, but I remain loyal to them, even without an exclusivity contract, since it exists in other countries but not in France with actors.
AG: How was your casting?
Jawel: It was in Marseille, I met the boss of Citebeur, Stephane, who was shooting in a sauna with confirmed actors. I was there and simply offered my services! After, I don’t hide that it wasn’t easy the first time: to fuck with a stranger that you just met, not knowing the person who films you. In fact, I would have thought that it would be more complicated, but they let you do what you want during the shooting, they are discreet and let you do your thing.
AG: Have you always been attracted to porn?
Jawel: I’m a rather vicious and exhibitionist guy. Maybe I need to be watched, desired. Let’s say that porn is an extension of all that.
AG: In harmony with Citebeur’s gonzo style then?
Jawel: Not really. I have an ordinary life (in the province) with a real job as a cook. Even if one could think the opposite, I’m not “wesh”, thug from the suburbs. My parents are Algerians, Kabyles, so certainly, I experience the thing of being gay and Arab and I also experience the taboo on a daily basis, even if again, I was lucky because the main members of my family know that I am gay, and they took it rather well. As for my side as a porn actor, it’s none of their business.
AG: Based on your scenes, are you also active in real life?
Jawel: Yes, rather, but I can be both. I haven’t changed my style for the production, I have already shot as a bottom. But only a few scenes, I don’t like it. As an Arab guy, it bothers me that people can see me like that. The ass is intimate to me, but my cock, I don’t mind giving it.
AG: Did being a porn actor help you get guys?
Jawel: I didn’t have much difficulty before that (you might think I’m pretentious!)…so so. I think in general, there are always guys for whom it’s a turn-on and others for whom it’s totally the opposite. A bit like with friends, I lost some following my activity. I can understand… Now I have a guy, it doesn’t seem to bother him too much, I told him right away.
